PCC  414 Emergency  Procedures 

  Constellation Place: PCC414. 700 Constellation Drive, Mississauga, ON 

WHEN FIRE ALARM SOUNDS:

 

  1. STAY CALM
  2. START TAKING NOTES, MAKE NOTE OF THE TIME
  3. ACKNOWLEDGE ALARM ON ALARM PANEL. NOTE ALARM INDICATION ZONE
  4. CALL 911, REQUEST FIRE SERVICE AT 700 CONSTELLATION DRIVE (MAJOR INTERSECTION: MAVIS AND EGLINGTON), ADVISE THEM YOU HAVE AN ALARM AND WHICH ZONE IS AFFECTED.
  5. MAKE INITIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
  6. PREPARE BUILDING, CHECK FIRE ROUTES AND CLEAR AS REQUIRED (SEE SITE DIAGRAM), BLOCK OPEN DOORS, CHECK ELEVATORS HAVE RECALLED, GATHER KEYS AND FIRE PLAN
  7. NOTIFY PROPERTY MGMT, GROUP 4 OF ALARM
  8. WAIT FOR FIRE DEPT. RESPONSE AND CARRY OUT INSTRUCTIONS OF FIRE CAPT.


WHEN FIRE CAPT. DECLARES SITUATION OVER:

 

  1. RESET FIRE PANEL NOTE* THIS CAN ONLY BE DONE ON THE AUTHORITY OF THE FIRE CAPT.
  2. RESET ELEVATORS (SEE ELEVATOR RESET PROCEDURES)
  3. RESET MAGLOCKS
  4. MAKE FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT
  5. SECURE BLDG
  6. NOTIFY PROPERTY MGMT AND GROUP 4 THAT ALARM HAS BEEN RESOLVED
  7. PREPARE INCIDENT REPORT
